As part of the Discover Your Singapore Airlines initiative, SIA has launched The Upcycling Project, which will see SIA partnering with consultants, retail brands, educational institutions, and social enterprises to identify ways to repurpose parts and materials from some of our older aircraft into four unique initiatives under this project.
SIA will work with appointed Singaporean consultants, local artists, local and global retail brands, tertiary institutions including Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), as well as the makers under SG Enable's i'mable Collective to curate and produce a range of interesting and unique products made from SIA aircraft parts and materials.
These products may be used for educational purposes and retail sales, with proceeds from sales via social enterprises going towards the funding of their organisations.
Details of completed products will be made available on our main social media platform Facebook, KrisShop, and our respective brand partners' communication channels closer to their launch dates.
